Sherri, thank you for this wonderful review! You can actually put the poncho on your little one BEFORE you leave the house, so you don't need to fuss with a coat at all. Your son is probably at the stage where he loves to wiggle around and away from you when you are trying to dress him.

Just pop it on over his head, carry him to the car (which, if your driveway is like mine, no more than 15 steps away from my door), and pop him into his carseat. Flip open the zipper from the bottom, buckle the harness, zip it down and you're good to go. David is safe and warm, Mommy is happy and unhassled. Then as the car warms up, you can unzip it from the top so that your baby does not overheat or perspire, or remove it completely without disturbing the harness -- so fast you can do it at a stoplight!

There are also a bunch of boy colors on sale now, starting at $27.99! Hope this helps, and thanks again for mentioning the Car Seat Poncho.
