Yesterday, I hit the two month mark and what a great two months it has been. Mom and Dad have been wonderful to me and I feel like the luckiest little boy in the world to have them. Dad took off the last two weeks of the year so we had major bonding time together. He finally changed his share of poopy diapers which weren’t so awful after all. I eased him into it….
Since yesterday was my two month birthday, I had my check-up at the doctor’s office. Mom couldn’t wait to find out if the ‘hefty’ formula I’ve been drinking helped me to put on the pounds and boy was she excited when she heard I now weigh 11 lbs and 11 oz. Pretty amazing, right?! I also grew almost three inches since my last visit so now I am 24 1/4″ long. Maybe I will be tall like my Uncle Kenny or Grandpa Richie….
Yesterday was also ’shot day’ which neither me nor Mom & Dad were looking forward to but I took it all in stride and made them so proud of me. I cried a little bit but quickly quieted down and didn’t make much of a fuss at all. Mom gave me some tylenol to help with pain and prevent any fever. Fortunate for me, it is 36 hours later and I haven’t had any reactions. I was a little lethargic and had my sad pouty face on for a bit but now I am all smiles again which is making Mom very happy.
I don’t need to go back to the doctor again for two months and by then I’ll be even further along in my development. Mom & Dad are so proud of me for sleeping through the night for almost the past two weeks. I am also starting to have more waking hours during the day and can start to see and enjoy my toys. This week my musical Gyminee is a ton of fun and I love all the zoo animals I can look at. My little life is getting so much more interesting now that I can stay awake a little more.
