Last night it was pouring rain so Darren and I wanted to stay close to home for dinner. We were both in the mood for Chinese food and some good soup on a cold, windy night. We ended up at Seven Woks in Scarsdale which is one of our favorites. The restaurant was packed and just about every table was taken but service was incredible. From the second we sat down, our server came over with hot tea, fresh wonton noodles and dipping sauce. We were in heaven since we were starving. Within seconds of placing our order our soups arrived. Hot and delicious. I had egg drop wonton and Darren had regular wonton soup. Flavorful and not too salty. For dinner we shared the Happy Family which is a mix of filet mignon, chicken and shrimp in a brown sauce with vegetables and Moo Shu Chicken. The Moo Shu chicken was fantastic! In seconds our server rolled our pancakes to perfection as Darren and I marveled at her technique. Our meal was fantastic. If you are in the lower Westchester area and looking for good Chinese I highly recommend Seven Woks. The portions are more generous than Hunan Village II in Hartsdale and the pricing is more reasonable. Both are good but you get more bang for your buck at Seven Woks.
