On Sunday Darren and I, and a few of our friends were up in Connecticut enjoying the beautiful fall folliage.  The weather was perfect for a ride in the country where we enjoyed the change of scenary, the peacefulness of the outdoors and the beautiful colors of the leaves.  There is nothing more symbolic of the change in seasons than when the leaves start to turn color.  The arrival of Fall was definitely late this year with most of the leaves still on the trees and some still have yet to turn.  We enjoyed an afternoon together catching up and snapping a few photos to capture the beauty of nature.  The trees were incredible with varying shades of yellow, orange and maroon leaves.  While admiring the scenary we all agreed that before long, the leaves will all be on the ground, daylight hours will be at their shortest and we will all be hunkering down for the winter that lies ahead.  Until then though, we will enjoy the rest of the fall season and gear ourselves up for the holidays.  Darren and I absolutely love Thanksgiving and are so excited it is only 17 days away :)
