Last week, Darren signed me up for Ideeli – a members-only shopping community for trendsetters. Ideeli offers high-end, luxury items at deep discounts – 50-90% off the original price. Ideeli previews upcoming items on their site, usually handbags or jewelry and then at random times, for one item and one item only the sale begins. There is no schedule and notification the item is available for purchase comes by email or text message. 2nd row membership is free but for $7.99 a month you can have 1st row membership. First row membership allows you to purchase the item for sale one hour before 2nd row members can and makes you eligible for their free giveaways. Free giveaways are also other high-end luxury items.
I am not sure how I feel about this site – its definitely exclusive and membership does have its privileges, but I’m still not totally sold on the concept. I will keep an open mind but there are plenty of high-end luxury items sold on bluefly and other sites and they don’t charge for membership.

I’m not really sold on these “invite only” sample sale sites. So much hassle! Whatev. I’ll just keep using hautelook.com since it doesn’t require an invite. :D
