Fortune magazine recently came out with their 50 Most Powerful Women in Business and 6 CEOs to Watch List.  It is amazing to see so many talented, successful women, changing the face of how the world does business.  This list of women includes CEOs, presidents, and powerhouses who are changing the face of the business community across all industries and across the world.  Its amazing to me to see how far women have come in business especially in the last 10+ years.  

I have been in financial services since the day I graduated (in fact today is the anniversary of the day I started)  and its incredible to see how many women have risen to the top.  When I started, trading floors were predominantly men, women dressed in suits (no pants) and you had to have an incredibly thick skin to survive the daily tirades from the bankers or traders.  Today as I look around, there are tons of women in leadership positions, many who are managing directors and catalysts for change throughout the organization.  Women are shaping the direction of their company’s and taking them to new heights.  As I celebrate my professional anniversary today, I am proud to be amongst these women.  I aspire to their greatness one day.
